Putting their wedding on hold due to the discovery of a human skeleton at a farmhouse near the church, garda Siobhán and Macdara must solve a fifty-year-old cold case of a missing groom, which heats up when a fresh corpse appears.

He arrives covered in dirt and babbling he found a human skeleton in the old slurry pit at the farmhouse--an abandoned dairy farm Macdara had purchased as a wedding surprise. An elderly neighbor approaches and claims these must be the remains of her one true love who never showed up on their wedding day, fifty years ago.
