After closeted trans teenager Asher is sent to Catholic school, his only escape is at night when he dreams of the Midnight Circus. He assumes it's not real until his Midnight Circus trapeze rival walks into his classroom, and he learns both that the circus is real, and his time there is limited. Desperate, he sets both worlds on a collision course that endangers all he holds dear. Now he must decide how far he'll go, and if he can face his biggest challenge: coming out.
