Retired gunslinger Tom Navarro is more than happy working at the Bar-V Ranch while planning to move up north, open his own ranch, and create a new life with the woman he loves. Paul Vannorsdell, owner and operator of the Bar-V, also has big dreams: he wants to buy the Rancho de Cava from his old friend, Don Francisco. Everything seems to be going according to plan until Don Francisco is found murdered near Bullet Creek. His sons suspect Vannorsdell, and Navarro soon finds himself smack in the middle of a torrent of lead.
